2015 Dutch Eurovision-representative Trijntje Oosterhuis will go on a musical church tour in December 2016.

Dutch diva of soul Trijntje Oosterhuis, who represented the Netherlands at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria, recently concluded her popular Acoustic Sunday Sessions-tour. And although summer is approaching, the artist is already planning her next tour: Christmas Evening With Trijtje, Church Tour 2016. As the name implies, Trijntje Oosterhuis will visit churches and theatres in December 2016, presenting famous Christmas songs and carols in a soulful style, accompanied by guitarist Leonardo Amuedo. As Trijntje Oosterhuis says on her official website:

December is a festive month which always brings a great atmosphere for me, a beautiful moment for me to experience this together with my audience. It is great to follow the American tradition of artists such as Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Stevie Wonder, and sing Christmas songs. It will be a soulful Christmas Eve.

And from the artists’ Facebook-page:

I am early this year. I received a lot of mail with questions about this. And indeed, it’s true: this year, I will go on a Church Christmas Tour, the whole month of December. Duo concerts with Leo Amuedo on guitar. Dates and ticket sales are available on www.trijntje.nl. Of course I’ll tell you more about it in the coming months. They will be soulful Christmas concerts in churches throughout the Netherlands! Warm, cosy and attractive. I hope you will be able to attend again!

During the acoustic concerts, traditional Christmas evergreens such as Have yourself a merry little Christmas and Let it snow will be performed by Trijntje Oosterhuis, along with her own Christmas repertoire, including Miss you most at Christmas time and What Christmas means to me.
