The annual QX Gaygala arranged by Sweden’s LGBT magazine QX was held last night in the Cirkus theatre in Stockholm. The event, held since 2001, features performances, of lots of Eurovision and Melodifestivalen artists (among others) and awards given to important people and organizations among the Swedish LGBT community.

The awards given to Eurovision/Melodifestivalen acts were:

  • Song of the year: Heroes by Måns Zelmerlöw
  • Hetero of the year: Malena Ernman
  • LGBT of the year: Rickard Söderberg (Melodifestivalen 2015 participant)
  • Show of the year: Alcazar with Disco Defenders

With artists as Samir & Viktor, Babsan, Oscar Zia, Ola Salo, Lena Philipsson, Dinah Nah, and Mariette as guests or perforers in the event, the QX Gaygala can be hardly detached from Melodifestivalen and Eurovision, with Melodifestivalen journalists as Törbjörn Ek from Aftonbladet being special guests of the show.

Alcazar’s show Disco Defenders won the Show of the year award

The whole ceremony will be broadcasted on Sweden’s TV4 this Saturday, right after Melodifestivalen ends on SVT.
