Greece: With Argo to Eurovision!

After all the turmoil and rumours the past couple of days, the Greek broadcaster revealed today the band that will represent the country in the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Argo is the band name consist of 6 members.

In a short press release, ERT, the Greek Broadcaster revealed today the act that will fly the Greek flag in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, this May in Stockholm, Sweden. Argo is the band which consists of Christina Lachana (lead singer), Maria Venetikidou (backing vocals), Vladimiros Sofianidis (vocals), Kostas Topouzis (pontian lira), Ilias Kesidis (vocals . percursion) and Alekos Papadopoulos (tabor). It is clear that the band Argo is the renamed version of Europond, the band that was previously rumoured to be the representatives, but yet unclear why ERT decided to go on with a name change like that.

No further details have been revealed by the broadcaster regarding the act or the song. ERT will present more details in the forthcoming days.
