The competition kicks off this evening in Latvia with the first heat of the country’s national selection, Supernova 2016.

In tonight’s heat, a total of 10 acts will compete for a place in the next stage of the Latvian national selection and will perform their entries to both the public and jury. A total of 4 acts will advance to the semi-final stage; 2 will be selected via public televote while the final 2 acts will be chosen by the jury. Supernova 2016 is hosted by Ketija Šēnberga and Toms Grēviņš.
