TVE, the Spanish national broadcaster has revealed that Barei will sing her Eurovision entry Say yay entirely in English at the forthcoming 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

It will be very first time that Spain will perform its Eurovision entry 100% in English. The country has always had a tradition of performing in its native language in the contest, or partly in Spanish as was the case with  Soraya (2009) and Ruth Lorenzo (2014).

Barei won the 2016 Spanish national final last Monday 1 February with her entry Say yay. On Tuesday 2 February TVE held a special press conference in Madrid in order to officially present Barei as the 2016 Spanish Eurovision representative to the Spanish media and press. The young Spanish singer is honoured and happy to represent Spain at the forthcoming 2016 ESC in Stockholm. She is very grateful to TVE for having given her the opportunity to showcase her talent and participate in the Spanish Eurovision national final.
