There are still question marks over whether Mans Zemerlow will be able to host the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest despite being the favourite to helm the Grand Prix in May when it comes to Stockholm.

Mans Zelmerlow won the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna and gave Sweden their 6th victory at Eurovision. He has also previously hosted the 2010 edition of the prestigious Melodifestivalen competition so is therefore more than up to job if his upcoming schedule will allow it.

Expressen.se reported in an article written by Lars Johansson that Zelmerlow’s hectic promotional schedule may prevent him from taking on the hosting duties. However he does seem to be tipped to be the hot favourite to oo- host the event with Petra Mede who has already hosted Melodifestivalen 2009, the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest and The 60th anniversary celebrations in London so he will be in good company for the forthcoming contest. Zelmerlow’s management are quoted as saying that:

Whilst Mans’s camp seem to be a bit elusive they also seem to be saying that they will do whatever it takes to facilitate Mans Zelmerlow’s participation at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm. He will of course be present to hand over the prize at Melodifestivalen 2016 but the hot favourite to present the annual Swedish national finals is rumoured to be Melodifestivalen 2012 and 2013 veteran Gina Dirawi

Sweden has won the Eurovision Song Contest on 6 occasions starting with ABBA in 1974 and more recently this year with Mans Zelmerlow’s Heroes.
