The surprise dark horse of the 2015 Eurovision Song contest Loïc Nottet has waltzed onto the 6th series of Dancing with the Stars hot of the heels of his Eurovision success.
The surprise hit to emerge from this year’s contest was Loïc Nottet with his entry Rhythm inside which finished in 4th position with a very respectable 217 points. He was one of the youngest contestants at this year’s contest at the age of 19, however he already seems to be a veteran of music competitions after he was runner up in the third season of The Voice of Belgium.
Loïc’s competitive edge doesn’t seem like retiring anytime soon as he finds himself competing on the 6th season of Dancing with the Stars on French TV also titled Danse avec les stars.
In a recent interview with Cinetelerevue, he talked about his participation in the world famous celebrity dance competition format and also teased new music for his fans.
It has been very good! It’s been two weeks we started at a steady pace. Schedules are impeccable because they allow me both to concentrate on Dancing with the Stars and work on my new album.
His dance partner Denitsa also took notes from his recent Eurovision participation and had this to say in his favour.
I checked out his video and admired his pirouettes at Eurovision. I was impressed! Then I met him at a concert in Charleroi, Loïc is even better live, it gave me chills. He has a powerful voice and moves incredibly well.
Belgium has won the Eurovision Song Contest on only 1 occasion with Sandra Kim and J’aime la vie in 1986. The came close when they placed 2nd in 2003 with Urban Trad and Sanomi. More recently the have enjoyed mixed fortunes which were restored by Loïc’s very respectable 4th place at this years contest.
