Former Ukrainian Eurovision representative Ani Lorak is set to appear in the Russian city, Omsk.
The singer, who represented Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, will perform her solo concert at the city’s Concert Hall next Saturday night, 24 October. Audiences can expect to hear songs old and new, including Shady lady, the Philipp Kirkorov-penned song with which she came in second place at 2008’s Eurovision.
The announcement of her performance in Omsk comes soon after the release through her website of a world tour in the first part of 2016. Ani kicks off her tour in Toronto, Canada, on 15 January and will perform in New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco before returning to Europe where she’ll visit Fürth, Karlsruhe, Offenbach, Mülheim, Hanover and Hamburg.
Tickets for Ani’s concert in Omsk are selling fast. In the show, which is called Karolina after Ani’s real name, the songs are arranged to tell the story of a small-town girl who becomes a star. It received rave reviews when performed at Dubai’s Trade Centre Arena last month.
