AMPTV, the Armenian national has announced today the name of the 2016 Armenian Eurovision act.
The suspense is over, we now know the name of the mysterious girl who will represent Armenia in Eurovision next year!
Iveta Mukuchyan will have the honour of representing Armenia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm next year. She was selected via an internal selection to fly the Armenian flag in the forthcoming Eurovision edition.
A few minutes ago the name of the 2016 Armenian Eurovision act was revealed on AMPTV’s television show Profession – journalist.
“I’m very happy, thankful and honored to be chosen by the Public TV Company of Armenia to represent Armenia in Eurovision 2016. I love Eurovision and it’s amazing to get a chance to represent my country on the big stage. Your support is very important to me, so I hope you will be next to me on this responsible and important journey.”- comments Iveta.
What about the 2016 Armenian entry?
AMPTV has opened the submission period for songwriters to send in the pontential songs for Iveta. Hence the Armenian broadcaster will be having a contest for the songwriters.

About Iveta
Iveta Mukuchyan was born in 1986 in Armenia. She moved to Germany with her family when she was 5 years old. She returned to Armenia 20 years later.
Iveta studied at the State Conservatory after Komitas in Yerevan. In 2012 she participated in the Voice of Germany reaching all the way to the live shows.
Iveta is among the most sought after artists in her homeland today, having gained much fame, name and recognition. She is a well-known and loved singer/songwriter not only in Armenia, but also in Europe. She is seen as a role model by many young women.

In 2015 Armenia selected its Eurovision entry and act for Vienna via an internal selection. Genealogy represented Armenia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with their entry Face the shadow.
Armenia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best placing in the contest in 2008 with Sirusho and in 2014 with Aram Mp3, placing 4th on both occasions.
The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 10, 12 and 14 October at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
