“It was wonderful to be on stage and a lot of fun. I will continue to make music, of course, because I love it. But I’m also sad – zero points are just zero points.”, said Ann Sophie yesterday after Europe decided to place her on the shared last place, along with Austria.

Despite the disappointing result, 8.11 million Germans watched the Eurovision final yesterday night, with a peak of 9.59 million during Ann Sophie’s performance. The overall market share stood on 34%.

Thomas Schreiber, the head of entertainment on ARD, has thanked ORF for the arrangement of a very successful show, and added: “Zero points are very disappointing, we will now consider exactly how we prepare for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016”

The “Countdown for Vienna” show hosted by Barbara Schöneberger in Hamburg, where the German votes were also presented from, was watched by 4.45 million viewers (market share of 16.6%) and the “Grand Prix Party” show following the final was watched by 2.1 million people, with a market share of 25.4%.
