This evening, the popular Dutch cultural TV-show Opium will entirely evolve around the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.

The 2015 Dutch Eurovision-representative Trijntje Oosterhuis will extensively talk about her participation in the ESC and her career, perform her ESC-entry Walk Along, and the other participants in Vienna will be analysed.

Opium is a cultural TV-show of Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS hosted by Cornald Maas, himself an expert in, and advocate for, the Eurovision Song Contest. He is also one of the official commentators of the ESC for broadcaster AVROTROS, and one of the hosts of the annual Eurovision In Concert in Amsterdam. Tonight, on the eve of her departure for Vienna, Dutch artist Trijntje Oosterhuis is the central guest in Opium, talking about all things Eurovision. Trijntje Oosterhuis will talk about her participation and her career, and will of course perform her 2015 Eurovision-entry Walk Along.

Furthermore, a panel consisting of TV-host Tijl Beckand, singer Jamai Loman and Radio 3FM-dj Annemieke Schollaardt will talk about their love for Eurovision, and analyse Trijntje Oosterhuis’ fellow participants in Vienna. They will also delve into the history of the Eurovision Song Contest, choosing their favourite ESC-song.

You can watch a little snippet of the programme (in Dutch), which was recorded a few days ago here. The Eurovision-special of Opium will be aired this evening, Thursday the 7 of May, at 21.10 (CET) on NPO 2.
