Trijntje Oosterhuis, the Dutch representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, has released a CD and DVD together with her group Ladies Of Soul. Ladies Of Soul’s group members have many connections to the world of Eurovision.

Ladies Of Soul is a very popular all-female group, paying tribute to the power and warmth of soul-music, covering classics of the genre, and singing their own compositions. Trijntje Oosterhuis, who will represent The Netherlands at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria, is one of the central voices within the group.

The other members are Trijntje’s sister-in-law Edsilia Rombley who represented The Netherlands at Eurovision 1998 and Eurovision 2007, Glennis Grace who represented The Netherlands at Eurovision 2005, Berget Lewis who participated in the Dutch preselection for Eurovision, Nationaal Songfestival 2003, and renowned saxophonist Candy Dulfer, who has collaborated with famous artists such as Prince.

Special guest stars during the Ladies Of Soul-concerts included singer Sheila E. and Belgian “lady of soul”, Natalia (participant in the Belgian preselection for Eurovision, Eurosong 2004).

Yesterday, the Ladies Of Soul released the CD and DVD of their 2015 live concerts, Live At The Ziggo Dome 2015. The official presentation was held, appropiately, in Amsterdam’s venue the Ziggo Dome. The presentation was graced by the presence of Tante Es (Auntie Es), a feisty senior Surinamese lady, a character of popular Dutch-Surinamese comedian Jörgen Raymann, who presented the CD and DVD to the Ladies Of Soul.

Of course, Trijntje’s Eurovision-adventure was also discussed. Trijntje Oosterhuis told RTL Boulevard:

We are very busy with the preparations, it is really exciting because it’s also still changing. It’s a contest in which it is important how it’s going to look, I’m very curious.

Trijntje’s brother and Edsilia Rombley’s husband, composer and producer Tjeerd Oosterhuis (also Musical Director of the Ladies Of Soul-shows), has confidence in his sister:

Trijntje has so much experience as an artist, we don’t have to tell her that much was she has to do. It’s all going to be good.

Trijntje Oosterhuis will represent The Netherlands at Eurovision 2015 with the song Walk Along, written by Anouk (Eurovision 2013).
