Denmark: Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 search begins

Fresh from hosting the successful 2014 Eurovision Song Contest DR have already begun their search to find Basim’s successor in representing Denmark at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.

Music professionals and ordinary members of the unpublished Danish song writing public have been invited to submit entries for the 2015 edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.

Monday, September 8th 2014 is the final deadline to submit all songs to be considered for the 2015 edition of  Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. All these entries will eventually be cut down to ten finalists who on Saturday, February 7 will compete to become Denmark’s contribution to the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.

Entertainment manager at DR, Jan Lagermand Lundme is quoted on the following selection process put in place by DR for next year’s national final. “When we choose the songs, it’s not just professionals who make the decision. There is also a range of ordinary people help to assess the numbers. In this way we ensure that these are the best songs to be elected,The music must be true”
