The 2014 Melodifestivalen winner and Swedish Eurovision representative at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen  held earlier in May will release a new album entitled 7.

In March we saw Sanna Nielsen win Melodifestivalen on her 7th attempt and lift the grand prix with the majestic electronica power ballad Undo. It was a personal triumph for Nielsen. It had been an ambition of her’s for many years to win the popular Swedish national final, which she did at the Friends Arena in Stockholm following in the footsteps of such celebrated alumni as ABBA, Carola, Charlotte Perrelli, Lena Phillipsson and Loreen. She came third in Copenhagen and in tribute to her recent win at Melodifestivalen Nielsen has entitled her album 7 in recognition of her seven attempts to win the Swedish finals contest.

Undo was written and composed by Fredrik Kempe, Hamed ‘K One’ Pirouzpanah and David Kruger who we have no doubt will have had some input into the new sound on Sanna’s forthcoming album. She has given the general public a sneak peek at her mature new sound with tracks such as Rainbow and Ready from her EP Undo which was released earlier this year. You can pre-order her album 7 here http://cdon.se/musik/nielsen_sanna/7_%28signerad%29-27271842 which will be released on the 02/07/2014.

Sanna Nielsen certainly looks to be making the most of her post Eurovision success and has fast earned herself a place in the hearts of the Eurovision fans worldwide. We here at esctoday.com certainly hope that this isn’t the last we will see of her at Eurovision.
