MRT, the Macedonian national broadcaster has confirmed and informed esctoday.com that Tijana Dapcevic will represent FYR Macedonia at the forthcoming 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. The Macedonian artist has been selected to fly the FYR Macedonian flag in Denmark next year via an internal selection.
The Macedonian broadcaster made an official annoucement on television earlier today announcing the news. Esctoday.com can reveal that the method and mechanism that MRT will use to select its 2014 Eurovision entry is yet to be determined. An internal selection or a televised song selection are 2 of the options the broadcaster may opt for.
Esctoday.com has learned that FYR Macedonia will most likely reveal their 2014 Eurovision entry next February. More details will be released in due course.
FYR Macedonia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998 with Vlado Janevski is yet to win the event. The country’s best result at the Eurovision Song Contest has been a 12th placing in 2006.
