Hungary: MTVA will most likely participate in Eurovision 2014

MTVA, the Hungarian  national broadcaster has informed esctoday.com that Hungary will most likely participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark next year.  An official confirmation is yet to be made by the Hungarian  broadcaster regarding their participation next year.

The method and mechanism to select the 2014 Hungarian entry will be most likely A Dal, the Hungarian Eurovision national selection. More details regarding the 2014 Hungarian participation at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest and its selection mechanism will be disclosed in due course.

Sweden, DenmarkFinland, Norway, Albania, Iceland, Ireland, San Marino, Georgia , Switzerland , The Netherlands,Estonia, Malta, FYR Macedonia and Belgium have all confirmed their participation at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest next year in Denmark. Whilst Belarus , Montenegro, Ukraine, Moldova and Latvia have said that they will most likely be in the competition next year.

Hungary debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994  and is yet to win the contest. The country’s best placing was a 4th place in 1994 when they debuted at the  Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin with Frederika Bayer’s‘s Kinek Mondjam Al Vetkeimet!
