The grand final of The Voice of Italy 2013 took place this evening at Rai 2. The Albanian singer Elhaida Dani with her coach Riccardo Cocciante who was the head of the jury panel for Malta Eurovision 2011, won the strong competition of The Voice of Italy 2013.

In 2011 Elhaida Dani debuted at the 50th edition of Festivali i Këngës in Albania for the Eurovision ticket in Baku but her performance did not convince enough the jury panel of Festivali i Këngës. Elhaida ended with nul points in the final of Festivali i Këngës 50 with her professional ballad Mijëra vjet.

Meanwhile, she has won several song competitions in her country and abroad, including the major music festival in Albania,  Top Fest 2012.
Earlier this year Elhaida Dani was going to participate at Festival di Sanremo 2013 but she withdrew from the festival to take part at The Voice of Italy 2013.
