The Eurovision Broadcasting Union informed us that the theme of the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be bright Nordic winter nights. As it was announced earlier, Nadia Hasnaoui and Stian Barsnes Simonsen will host the show on Saturday 20th November.

The 8 to 15-year-old contestants at the second edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will perform in an atmosphere of bright Nordic winter nights, sparkling stars and snow crystals, set in a hip-hop atmosphere. Millions of viewers across Europe will be able to elect this years winner via a centralized pan-European televoting platform designed and operated by Digame.de, an affiliate of Deutsche Telecom.

Norwegian TV icons Nadia Hasnaoui and Stian Barsnes Simonsen, who co-hosted the countrys junior national selection final this year, will present the Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held on 20 November 2004 at Håkons Hall in Lillehammer, which was one of the main venues during the 1994 Winter Olympic Games. The hall has a capacity of up to 7,000 spectators.

The week-long event will be hosted and produced by Norwegian national broadcaster, NRK. Saturday nights two-hour show will be transmitted live at 20:15 CET via the Eurovision satellite network to broadcasters across Europe and beyond.
