The tension is high! We’re one step closer to the determination of the Albanian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, with the conduct of the second show of the country’s music competition, which sees its 57th edition this year.

It’s show time!

During a spectacular first show which took place at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, 22 competing entries were performed live, in cooperation with the Albanian National Symphonic Orchestra. All 22 acts will be returning tonight and according to the event’s regulations, the artists will be requested to present the final version of their entries, as intended to be performed on the Eurovision stage.

Once again, hosting the show will be the acclaimed actor Viktor Zhusti and the Albanian-Canadian actress and singer Ana Golja. Αt the end of the night, we will know the acts that will proceed to Saturday’s Grand Final, which will crown the event’s overall winner.

The outcome will be determined by a professional jury, as well as a youth jury consisting of the best students from 15 high schools in Tirana. The Albanian Ministry of Education has been involved in this project.

The 57th edition of the Festivali i Këngës will be broadcast by RTSH from the Palace of Congresses in Albania’s capital Tirana. The show may be watched at 20:45 CET via RTSH1 (HD) and via the broadcaster’s website.
