French broadcaster, France 2, has opened registrations for members of the public to attend the shootings of the pre-recorded shows for the country’s upcoming national selection, Destination Eurovision.

For the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, that will take place in Lisbon in May 2018, France 2 is looking to be innovative and organise a great song competition, whose mission will be to find the next French representative.

Two semi-finals of nine songs each will determine the finalists, with 4 artists from each semi-final qualifying to the final of the selection. The winner of the national selection will be chosen 50% by ten different international jurors, and 50% by the viewers.

For the 2 semi-final shows, which will be pre-recorded before their air date, France 2 has opened registration in order for members of the public to attend the shows.

Recording will take place over the course of 2 days on the 8 and 9 January 2018, set to take place at the Studios de France.

Visit the broadcaster’s official website to submit your interest in attending the shows.

France in Eurovision

France is one of the most successful countries at Eurovision; they have scored 5 victories over the years and debuted in the first contest back in 1956.

From their latest memorable entry from Twin Twin in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Moustache to their eccentric entry in 2007 with the group Les Fatals Picards and the song L’amour à La Française, France seems to never disappoints!
