Sweden: Gina Dirawi to host Studio Eurovision; to announce Swedish votes

SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster has announced today that Gina Dirawi will host Studio Eurovision, a special pre Eurovision show. She will also have the honour of announcing the Swedish jury results during the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Gina Dirawi, who is a multi talented artist, singer, TV presenter will host a special Eurovision show Studio Eurovision, which will be aired on SVT live from the Eurovision venue Globe Arena just before the shows.

Studio Eurovision will be aired on SVT one hour before the main Eurovision shows on 10, 12 and 14 May. Studio Eurovision will showcase snippets, backstage stories regarding the 43 competing artists during the shows. Viewers will learn more about the trends, dresses, costumes, parties and Eurovision anecdotes etc.

Many guests will be attending the shows and will build the excitement leading up to the main Eurovision shows. Gina will be in charge of warming up the Swedish viewers prior to the Semi-finals and Grand Final.

Gina will have the honour of announcing the Swedish jury votes on Saturday 14 May, live from The Eurovision Party at the Tele 2 Arena.

Gina Dirawi hosted the 2012, 2013 and 2016 Swedish Eurovision national selection- Melodifestivalen. She has appeared in Melodifestivalen many times in recent years.

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 10, 12 and 14 May at the Globe Arena in Stockholm.

    I can see her getting chosen being the hostess presenter
    of a future EuroVision when Sweden will win the very next time.
    This can happen even before 2020 if you ask me.

    But ok I don’t really think so that the next year’s Contest will be hosted again by Sweden
    and we will see the Swedes winning for the first time inside their country on May.
