Italy: Il Volo to return to the Wiener Stadthalle

Il Volo make a grande return to the Wiener Stadthalle stage on 18 June as part of their European Tour.  The poperatic trio, who represented Italy at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, won hearts around the world with their passion-fuelled entry Grande amore, and the Austrian audience is preparing for more…

The concert, which has been moved to a larger hall (große Halle D) as a result of the huge interest, commences at 20:00 CET on Saturday 18 June.  Tickets are available from Tuesday 5 April at 09:00 CET – please visit stadthalle.com for all ticket purchasing information.

Following victory at the Sanremo Festival 2015, Il Volo won the right to represent Italy at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.  Grande amore came third in the Grand Final of the Vienna-hosted competition with a total of 292 points.  Watch their performance on the Wiener Stadthalle stage below:

Il Volo finished a tremendous 2015 with the release of an album, also titled Grande amore, a single Per te ci sarò and a performance at the Latin Music Awards in the USA.

Twenty-one year old Francesca Michielin will be representing Italy at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry No degree of separation.  Coming from the Globen Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, the Contest will take place on 10, 12 and 14 May.
