Three nights of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016 have come to an end and Moldova has selected! Lidia Isac will fly to Stockholm this coming May and will represent Moldova with her entry, Falling stars.

Following 2 semi-final shows, a total of 16 finalists competed in the final show of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016 in a bid to represent Moldova at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Tonight’s winner was decided via a combined public and jury vote.

With the 11-jury members voting Lidia Isac as their favourite act, it was down to the public to have their say on who they think should go on to represent the nation at the Stockholm-hosted contest this coming May.

After the votes were combined, it was Lidia Isac who was voted as the winner of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016 and will go on to represent Moldova in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on the 10 May with the song Falling stars.

Lidia Isac will follow the 2015 Moldovan representative, Eduard Romanyuta, who finished in 11th position in last year’s first semi-final with his entry, I want your love.
