OSRAM Licht AG, the multinational lighting manufacturer from Germany has been announced as the lighting partner for the Eurovision Song Contest again.

Last year, OSRAM has lighted the Eurovision Village at the Vienna City Hall and introduced the Lightify@ESC app where users could give a score for every song using a color scale during the live performance. The average color was then illuminated on the Eurovillage and the City Hall itself, within seconds. The same app will be used again during the live screenings of next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm.

“Light is emotion. And as emotion is the main connotation when it comes to the Eurovision Song Contest, we are very pleased to be once more partner of this unique entertainment event”, said Hans-Joachim Schwabe, CEO of OSRAM’s Business Unit Specialty Lighting. Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, has expressed his delight of the cooperation with OSRAM for the second time.
