The Latvian broadcaster LTV received 57 songs for the national final Eirodziesma 2003. LTV spokesperson Ilona Berzina told that to esctoday.com.

“The deadline was today, November 4 at 17:00 local time. Of course, musicians started crowding in late afternoon and by the very end the process was very intensive”, Berzina said. She also told us that many young and unknown artists for the wide audience have submitted their songs and that they expect a lot of surprises.

Tomorrow the songs will be sent to the international jury members from ten countries in Europe. The international jury will select the best songs, which will participate in the Latvian national final Eirodziesma 2003 on February 1st, 2003 in Ventspils.
