Monday night’s episode of The Next Star is now over, with Israel’s search for their next artist for the Eurovision Song Contest continuing in this evening’s show.

In tonight’s episode of The Next Star, a further 3 artists auditioned for the potential right of representing their country at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.

Performing in front of the audience and 4-member judging panel, each of tonight’s artists performed onstage in order to gain 70% of the ‘Yes’ vote. Those who gained the required percentage advanced to the next stage of the competition.

Tonight’s results

From tonight’s 3 performers, only 2 managed to advance in the competition by earning the 70% of the ‘Yes’ vote needed.

  • Axum (71%, ‘Yes’ from 3 judges)
  • Almog Kapach (82%, ‘Yes’ from 3 judges)

Roni Barachal failed to receive the backing of the audience and jury, with all judges voting ‘No’ during the singer’s performance.

Former backing vocalist who has participated on the Eurovision stage 2-years running, Almog Kapach, auditioned in tonight’s show, managing to qualify to the next stage of the competition.
