Th 11th and final wild card entry for the second chance round of the Icelandic selection has been chosen: Hrund Ósk Árnadóttir will compete on 12th January for the 12th spot in the national final with her entry Í rússíbana.

Among the nine composers, who have been invited by RÚV to submit three entries, it was a very fair voting as we can see now: Almost all had one entry that qualified directly for the final, one that got a wildcard and one that that was eliminated from the competition – Dr. Gunni is the only composer with no song in the final so far having been eliminated twice and getting a wild card once while Magnús Eiríksson qualified for the final twice andgot a wildcard.
The Icelandic national final will be held on 16th February with 12 songs competing. Iceland will compete in one of the semi finals of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade.
