Conchita Wurst, the 2014 Eurovision winner who represented Austria with Rise like a phoenix in Copenhagen is releasing her debut album Conchita this upcoming May.

After months of speculation from Conchita’s fans on her debut album, it was Conchita herself who took to social media today to announce the release date of her debut album Conchita, which will officially be 15 May. The LP consists of 13 songs of which 11 we have not heard before and surprisingly, doesn’t include Rise like a phoenix. However, as seen in the track listing, all the songs will be in English. Notably, the release date choice is a smart choice of Conchita’s management knowing that she will be very active in Vienna with promotion and Eurovision which will be held the upcoming week. The album comes for the fans exactly 1 year after Conchita’s victory in Copenhagen. Conchita – the album was recorded in Los Angeles in some of the most prestigious studios.
