40 countries will be taking part in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Vienna on 19, 21 and 23 May. The next country to be introduced is Greece. Singing for Greece this year is Maria Elena Kyriakou.

Maria Elena Kyriakou was born on 11 January 1984 in Larnaca Cyprus. The 31-years-old singer became a famous pop star in Greece after winning the first series of the talent show The Voice in the country. She auditioned with a cover of Kelly Clarkson‘s Because of you and became one of the hot favourites to win the show. After singing her own debut single Dio egoismoi in the final, she won The Voice and signed a record deal with Universal Music Greece. Behind the scenes she started working on a debut album called Dio ageloi sti gi that will be released later this year. In February it was announced that Maria Elena Kyriakou would take part in the Greek national final for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest called Eurosong 2015 – NERIT & MAD Show (60 years of music). She left the other four competitors behind her and was chosen to represent Greece with the song One last breath, a dramatic ballad about a lost love.
