Mor ve Ötesi officially presented by TRT

In a very brief press conference held a few minutes ago, TRT, the Turkish broadcaster presented the country's next representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest. Mor ve Ötesi stated that singing in Turkish in Belgrade is still a strong possibility.

Ali Guven, Turkish Head of Delegation, opened the brief press conference which presented Mor ve Ötesi to the press and media. He spoke about the history of the Eurovision Song Contest as well as its importance and presented a brief history of Turkey in the contest throughout the years.

Then it was the turn of Harun, the lead singer of the Mor ve Ötesi to speak about the 12-year career of the band who can boast over 500 concerts so far. " When we received TRT's proposal to represent Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest we were really excited and we knew we were going to do it." Harun said. The song has not been decided yet as the band will submit their proposals to TRT in the near future, no specific dates were announced at this point.

When asked about the language of the song, Mor ve Ötesi emphasised that it hasn't been decided yet but it could very well be in Turkish.
