Luxembourg: Corinne Hermès, new album and single

She is French, but she represented the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1983, giving the country its last victory to date in the competition. The Eurovision winner Corinne Hermès is set to release her next album in May. The first single is already available.

She was born in France on a 16 November. She received her first singing award in 1974. Her first song, La ville où je vie, was published in 1979. Still, Corinne Hermès would be discovered to the general public with her victory for Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1983 with Si la vie est cadeau.

After Eurovision, Corinne Hermès continued to release a series of singles and a compilation of different versions of her Eurovision entry (Si la vie est cadeau – 25 ans).

Corinne went on to release the album Vrai in 2006, with new songs, and a greatest hits compilation in 2012, Best of.

This year the French singer will make her come-back with an album of covers which will be launched in May, whose title will be Paris New York.

The first single, Apartment, was launched on 16 March and is already available for download purchase. The song was written in 2009 by Rufus Wainwright for Shirley Bassey.

Corinne Hermès represented Luxembourg in 1983 at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Si la vie est cadeau. This was the Grand Duchy’s fifth and last victory in the competition. The country would send its last entry to date 10 years later.
