It is the year of the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, so it is time to celebrate. This is the reason for the Eurovision-fan organization OGAE Denmark to be organizing a special concert this coming summer with a few special guests…

The 60th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest that will be celebrated in Vienna in May is quite a special occasion that the organization of the Contest will celebrate. But EBU is not the only one wishing to hold a special event to pay tribute to Eurovision, and the Danish fans of the show are preparing a special concert, organized by OGAE Denmark.

This special concert for the Eurovision diamond jubilee will take place on 22 August at Radar in Aarhus, Denmark. OGAE Denmark has confirmed that two past Eurovision winners and one of the participants in the Swedish national selection, the Melodifestivalen, will take part in the concert.

The artists

The line up of performers that will feature in the 60th anniversary concert held by OGAE Denmark consists of the former winners Sandra Kim and Linda Martin, and the Melodifestivalen participant Marnus Carlsson.

The president of OGAE Denmark, Johann Sørensen, indicated that we are very proud that such big names will be joining our anniversary concert. A unique experience will be awaiting the audience.

Sandra Kim is to date (and probably will remain so for a long time) the youngest winner of the Eurovision Song Contest. She obtained the first and still only victory for Belgium in 1986 with the song J’aime la vie.

Linda Martin won the Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland in 1992 with Why me, and she was the runner-up in 1984, again for Ireland, with Terminal 3. Both songs were composed by the twice-winner Johnny Logan.

Magnus Carlsson counts eight participations in the Swedish Melodifestivalen, as a member of the group Alcazar, as the lead singer of the group Barbados and as a soloist. In the latest edition of the Swedish national selection he participated with the song Möt mig I Gamla Stan.
