The results of the second Festival da Canção 2015 semi-final are IN, and all six of our Grand Finalists are now known!

The following three acts qualified for Saturday’s Grand Final, where they will join Leonor Andrade, Yola Dinis and Gonçalo Tavares, who qualified from Tuesday (3 March) evening’s first semi-final.  They are listed below, next to their competition entries:

  • Teresa Radamanto –  Um fado em Viena
  • Simone de Oliveira – À espera das canções
  • José Freitas – Mal menor (Ninguém me guia à razão)

Teresa Radamanto and Simone de Oliveira were selected via televoting, with José Freitas progressing as a result of a special composer Jury vote.

Rubi Machado, Filipe Gonçalves and Diana Piedade were eliminated from Festival da Canção 2015.

The winner of Festival da Canção will represent Portugal at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, to be held this year at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria on 19, 21 and 23 May.  Portugal will participate in the first half of the second semi-final on Thursday 21 May.

This evening’s show, which was produced by Portugal’s national broadcaster RTP, was presented by Silvia Alberto and José Carlos Malato.  A webcast was available via rtp.pt and media.rtp.pt. During the voting interval, Portugal’s 1996 Eurovision Song Contest representative Lúcia Moniz performed her sixth-place entry from that year, O meu coração não tem cor, and all of this evening’s semi-finalists came together to deliver a medley of classic Eurovision hits.
