David Bustamante is enjoying major success in Spain with his latest album Al Filo De La Irrealidad which has reached the number one slot on the Spanish musical charts and has gained golden status. David shot to fame in Spain back in 2001 when he competed in TVE's most successful show Operacion Triunfo, being among the 3 finalists. David will be familiar to Eurovision fans as he competed against David Bisbal and Rosa in order to win the golden ticket to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn.

Rosa won the Spanish Eurovision heats in 2002 thus representing Spain in Tallinn, but was accompanied on stage by David Bustamante, Gisela, David Bisbal, Chenoa and Geno. David didn't get to represent Spain but was part of Rosa's backing chorus in Tallinn.

David hails from the city ofSan Vicente de la Barquera in Cantabria, northern Spain. He released his first album back in 2002 and has gained fame, name and recogntion since then.Many of his albums and singles have gained platinum and goldstatus.He has a big fan following both in Spain and overseas, especially in Latin America. Currently David is busy touring Spain promoting his latest album which was released on the 13th of November.
