Tonight, Ireland has selected Molly Sterling to fly the green, white and gold tricolour flag at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 this coming May.
Molly Sterling competed against four other acts to win Ireland’s Eurosong 2015, broadcast this evening by RTÉ as part of the Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy, with the result decided by a split jury and televote. The winning song is called Playing with numbers and will be performed at the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

Last year, Eurosong 2014 was won by Can-Linn feat. Kasey Smith. The group went on to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with the trad-pop song, Heartbeat. Ireland finished in 12th position in its semi-final, and therefore failed to qualify for the show’s grand finale.
