Tonight, the first semi-final of the much anticipated Hungarian A Dal 2015 will take place in Budapest.

About the show

3 Heats have already taken place in the last weeks where 30 songs were deducted to 18. Tonight the semi final phase will commence where 18 songs have to be deducted to 8 songs for the final. In tonight’s first semi-final, 9 entries which made it from the previous shows will compete where 4 songs will qualify to the final following 2 rounds of voting. The voting will take place like this:

Round 1 – 2 songs qualify from the votes of judges, SMS and App votes.
Round 2 – Another 2 songs will qualify from the remaining 7 from SMS and App votes only.

The panel of judges is made up of Pierrot (composer/performer/songwriter/producer), Jenő Csiszár (tv and radio host), Magdi Rúzsa (singer-songwriter & Hungarian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007) and Philip Rákay (MTV programme director).

The 9 competing songs are:

• Karmapolis – Time is now
• New Level Empire – Homelights
• Pankastic! – Kicsi a világ, de nagy világ
• Spoon – Keep marching on
• Timi Antal – Woke up this way
• Vera Tóth – Gyémánt
• Zoltán Mujahid – Beside you
