Tonight is the night of the Icelandic Final, Söngvakeppnin.

About the show

From a total of 258 entries submitted RUV, the Icelandic broadcaster, shortlisted these to 12.

A mix of established performers along with those who have not been involved with the selection process before, sang their hearts out in two semi finals. In each of those the public voted and chose six to go to the Final. A further one was then added as a wildcard.

All the shows are being broadcast from the University with hosts Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir, Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir and Salka Sól Eyfeld.

So 7 acts will be on stage tonight in a battle royal. The mix of songs will make it even more exciting. At the end of the programme we will know who has been successful in winning the golden ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna.
