Maltese songwriter Gerard James Borg is one of the names behind of the songs trying to win a place at the Eurovision Song Contest through the Icelandic selection. Borg/Oskarsson are collaborating on the song I Wanna Manicure, selected for the Icelandic Eurovision semi-finals. The song will be performed by the Hara sisters who took second place in the Icelandic pop idol competition.

Hallgrimur Oskarsson is the composer of the song Open Your Heart that represented Iceland in the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest in Latvia, and received an impressive 12 points from Malta that year.

Gerard and Hallgrimur have worked together in the past on a number of projects for European artists. I wanna Manicure is the result of some creative and somewhat crazy ideas fused together by Borg/Oskarsson, and will be premiered on Icelandic National Television (RUV) this month. He has co-written three Maltese Eurovision Song Contest entries to his name, was co-writter of Lovestruck with Thomas G:son that was disqualified after reaching the Romanian finals last year when the performers refused to travel to the rehearsal early from New York and has worked with Queentastic for Norway.
