Israel: Four finalists and Final date announced

The second season of Hakochav Haba (The Next Star) is only one episode away from the end. The list of four finalists has been announced tonight and the grand final will held on next Tuesday, February 17th.

The finalists are:

  1. Avia Shoshani
  2. Nadav Gedj
  3. Sari Nachmias
  4. Iki Levy & The Rasta Hebrew Men

The final will determine who will represent Israel in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. It is unknown yet how the Israeli entry will be chosen and revealed. It will be held on Sunday, February 15th, at 20:00 CET, and will be broadcasted on Channel 2. A webcast will be available worldwide through mako.co.il, Keshet Productions’ online portal.
An agreement between the Israel national broadcaster, IBA, and Keshet Productions was made last year where the winner of the second season of The Next Star would go on to represent the country at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. You can read more about the show’s process here.
