Loveshine
Hans on the Bass is an established band in Scandinavia, releasing three albums since 2008. The will compete with their smile-inducing single Loveshine. The band’s name originally started as a joke. Singer Klaus Suhonen and bass-playing college friend Hans Täckenström had talked about forming a band to create happy, infectious melodies. Klaus gathered band members from around Finland, and formed the band, immediately naming it Hans on the Bass to single out his friend. Today, the band consists of Anna Wiksten (vocals), Klaus Suhonen (vocals, guitar), Hans Täckenström (on the bass!), Niklas Nylund, Sasu Keurulainen, and Niklas Mansner (guitar), Pia Manns (violin), Anssi Sopanen (drums), Mikko Karjalainen and Ilkka Arola (horns), and Rob Dominis (keyboards). Hans on the Bass will compete in the first semi-final of the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2015 on 7 February with the single Loveshine.
