Timebelle

Singing about love

Based in Bern, Timebelle are Miruna Manescu (lead vocalist), Samuel Forster (drums), Emanuel Daniel Andriescu (saxophone), Sandor Torok (bass), Rade Mijatovic (accordion) and Christoph Siegrist (guitar).

Describing themselves as ‘a rocking, high-power pop group’, Timebelle can boast of five classically trained musicians and a strong singer.  An image of multicultural Switzerland, with roots in Hungary, Romania, Serbia and both the east and west of Switzerland, Timebelle connects these different cultures to create European music with a distinctive new flavour.

Timebelle take their name from the Zytglogge medieval tower in Bern, where they met during their studies at the Bern University of the Arts. The members of Timebelle balance their band duties with freelance work. They participate in different orchestras, as well as performing as soloists in chamber music, and partaking in solo projects.

Timebelle came from the SRF (Swiss-German speaking broadcaster) selection, passing the Expert stage.

Singing about love is written by Mihai Alexandru and Andrada Ioana with music by Mihai Alexandru.
