The results are in and it’s Nina Sublatti for Georgia!

Nina Sublatti will fly the flag for Georgia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with her entry Warrior.

Triumphing over Misha Sulukhia, Eter Beriashvili, NiUTONE and Edvard Meison in front of the Tbilisi audience, Nina will sing the song Warrior at one of two semi-finals to be allocated on 26 January 2015.

Produced by the country’s national broadcaster GPB, the forty minute Georgian national final was aired at 14:00 CET as part of the Kommunicator show.  A webcast was available via GPB1’s official website and eurovision.tv.

Nina was selected through a 50/50 combination of Jury and public votes.

Nina will succeed The Shin and Mariko, who took their ethno-jazz entry Three minutes to Earth to fifteenth place at the second semi-final of the Copenhagen hosted Eurovision Song Contest of 2014.

Georgia has made seven appearances at the Eurovision Song Contest since debuting in 2007 with Sopho’s Visionary dream.  Their best results have come from the contests of 2010 and 2011, with ninth place finishes for Sofia Nizharadze’s Shine (in 2010) and Eldrine’s One more day (2011).

The Eurovision Song Contest of 2015 will take place at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria on 19, 21 and 23 May.
