Kojo meets Sonja Lumme in court

Two Finnish Eurovision veterans are against each other again, but not in Euroviisut. Sonja Lumme who represented Finland in 1985 with Eläköön elämä has sued �Zero-Kojo� (Finland 1982 with Nuku pommiin) for slander.

The facts are not very clear yet but Kojo is accused of calling Sonja namesat a private party some time ago. In two weeks time, the case will be tried in a court of law. “It is a question of unprovoked insulting and offensive names used for Sonja Lumme inthe company of other persons” says accuser Nina Sipilä.Sonja Lumme has agreedproceed with the charges. The court will decide if Kojo’s wordswere insulting enough to be considered slander.

Meanwhile Sonja is happy for the release of her new album Meri ja tuuli (Sea and wind) a good four years after her last cd was released in 2003. The songs are about the sea and the wind as the title suggests, and it includes a cover of Lasse Mårtensson’s (Finland 1964 with Laiskotellen) Myrskyluodon Maija.
