The 2007 European Music Awards nominations have been announced and once again, Eurovision Song Contest feature in the awards show that was closed last year with a spectacuar performance of the reigning Eurovision Song Contest champions, Lordi.
The Ark, the Melodifestivalen wildcard act that went on to win the competition and the 2007 Swedish Eurovision Song Contest participation have been nominated for Best Swedish act.
2007 Euroivison Song Contest entrant for Turkey Kenan Dogulu goes up against the countries one and only competition winner, Sertab Erener in the Best Turkish Act category. Skamp, Lithuania's 2001 Eurovision Song Contest participants are nominated for Best Baltic Act for the second year running.
Earlier today, esctoday.com announced that Russia's 2007 participants, Serebro, and last year's Eurovision Song Contest runner-up, Dima Bilan, were each nominated for four awards at the upcoming MTV Russia Awards.
