Bodies Without Organs have made a u-turn in their thinking about another attempt to enter the Eurovision Song Contest for Sweden. During a video interview back in March, the band told esctoday.com that they did not feel that it would be a good idea but would consider representing Poland, the homeland of lead singer, Martin.
Times appear to have changed with the band recently admitting that they are looking for the right song to take to Melodifestivalen 2008. In the week that they have launched their new album, Fabricator, they have also agreed to make the theme song for the 2008 Europride festival.
Europride will return to take the place of the annual Stockholm Pride in August. The centrepiece of the week long festivities is the annual Schagerpride night, featuring a host of Eurovision Song Contest and former Melodifestivalen artists in front of a 35,000 strong crowd. The Europride event is set to be the most spectacular yet. Last year, After Dark (Melodifestivalen finalists) performed the pride song. BWO have appeared at the fesival for the last two years and have a huge gay following in Sweden. They recently played at London's G-A-Y night at the Astoria nightclub to a fantastic reception.
The band released their third album, Fabricator, on Wednesday. It includes their latest hits Save my pride, Chariots of fire and two remix by this year's Melodifestivalen semi finalists, The Attic.
