Sweden: TV4 to bid for JESC 2009

TV4, the Swedish broadcaster are planning to bid again for the opportunity to host the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest as our partner site Escsweden.com exclusively reveals.

TV4 wanted to host the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the Globen Annex in Stockholm but they lost to CyBC. Escsweden reveals that they will be trying once again for 2009. Sweden has been participating in JESC ever since it started in 2003. SVT, the public Swedish broadcaster, had the rights to broadcast the contest until 2006 when TV4 took over.
