TRM, the Moldovan national broadcaster has released the names of the 50 acts chosen to participate in the upcoming Moldovan national selection – O Melodie Pentru Europa 2015.
Earlier today, TRM confirmed to ESCToday that the broadcaster received a total of 68 entries, a number of which being submitted by foreign artists and composers. TRM also revealed that the live audition show, which was originally going to be held on the 19 December, has been postponed to next year on the 17 January 2015.
The broadcaster has since narrowed down the entries from 68 to 50 entries. The 50 selected candidates will then proceed to the next stage of the selection – the live auditions. The names of the acts have been listed below.

The live audition show will take place on the 17 January 2015 where a special jury will decide which 24 acts should qualify to the semi-final stage of the selection. The 24 acts will then be split into 2 semi-finals – 12 acts per semi-final – which will take place on the 24 and 26 February 2015.
8 acts will qualify from each semi-final, meaning that a total of 16 acts will compete in the grand final of O Melodie Pentru Europa on the 28 February 2015. The winning act, which will be decided via a 50/50 televote-jury deliberation, will then go on to represent Moldova at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Vienna, Austria.
Cristina Scarlat was selected via the Moldovan national selection O Melodie Pentru Europa 2014 to represent her country at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. With her entry Wild soul, Cristina ended in 16th position in the first semi-final, therefore failing to qualify to the grand final.
