The success of the Dutch bluegrass & country collective The Common Linnets hits a new chapter: after already receiving gold for their self-titled debut album The Common Linnets in Austria, the album has now also gained the platinum status in Austria.

The Common Linnets are very happy and proud about their achievement: Platinum status for our album in Austria!!!! Thank you so much!!!!! Thank you fans, radio, tv… And thank you Universal music Austria!”

The Common Linnets are a pure country and bluegrass collective centered around Dutch artist Ilse DeLange. Together with singer Waylon, The Common Linnets represented The Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, with the ballad Calm After The Storm. The group won the first semi-final, and eventually reached the 2nd place in the grand final with 238 points. Their Eurovision entry became a huge hit across Europe, and although Waylon left the band in favour of his solo-career, The Common Linnets continue to be popular throughout Europe.
