Tonight, the Maltese national broadcaster TVM will air the final of their national selection – Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015 (MESC 2015). The show will take place at 20:45 CET.
The show
Hosted by Daniel Chirop and Lyona Xuereb Gatt at the Malta Shipbuilding in Marsa, the 14 finalists will perform their entries to the public and jury who will then vote for their favourite act. The entry will be selected via a televote/jury deliberation. The entry that receives the most votes will win MESC 2015 and will therefore be selected to represent Malta at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Vienna, Austria. Although the song will be selected during the national selection, the winning artist/s is subject to change his/her/their song entry following the announcement of the new rules and regulations.

Earlier this month, PBS revealed the winner of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, Conchita Wurst, would be making an appearance at MESC 2015 where she would perform her latest single Heroes.
The story so far
Malta debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1971 when Joe Grech was selected to represent his country in the host city of Dublin, Ireland. With his entry Marija l-Maltija, Joe received a total of 52 points ending in last place.
Malta’s best result to date was in both 2002 with Ira Losco and her entry 7th wonder as well as in 2005 with Chiara and her entry Angel. Both entries received over 100 points, ending in 2nd position at the contest.
Firelight were selected via the Maltese national selection MESC 2014 to represent Malta at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with their entry Coming home. Performing in the second semi-final, Firelight qualified to the grand final where they ended in 23rd place with a total of 32 points.
