Patricia Kaas, the French chanson superstar who represented her country at the Eurovision Song Contest of 2009, will be featured in Deutsche Welle’s Europe in Concert series.
Screened weekly, Europe in Concert showcases live performances from some of the most prestigious and exciting names in European pop and rock music. The Scorpions, Robert Plant, Emiliana Torrini, Jamie Cullum and Sinéad O’Connor are just a selection of artists to have participated.
Founded in 1953, Deutsche Welle (also known as DW) is Germany’s international broadcaster. Aimed at an overseas market, DW broadcasts news, information and analysis on shortwave, Internet and satellite radio in 30 languages.

Patricia Kaas represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with Et s’il fallait le faire. The first single from her Kabaret album, which paid a passionate tribute to the 1930s, Et s’il fallait le faire finished in eighth place at the Grand Final of the 2009 contest, held in Moscow, with a total of 107 points.

The French national broadcaster France 2 confirmed to esctoday.com in September 2014 that France will be present at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Vienna in May, and their representative will be decided using an internal selection. France was last represented by Twin Twin, who performed Moustache at the Copenhagen contest in May 2014.
